It is officially spring in the Lowcountry and the weather is lovely and the young people on spring breaks are arriving. We welcome visitors because it is our main source of income. We are lucky when the weather is good because it brings more guests to our island. I am working to make our island even more desirable by asking our town to get rid of pesticides and herbicides on town property. First, the town, next the entire island. Hopefully this will spread to our county and state next. No one wants to walk on poisons, nor do they want their children or pets to walk on them either.
