Charlie Ryan will be at the Beaufort Library, 311 Scott Street in downtown Beaufort, Saturday, December 20, 2014 to autograph copies of his book, The Pullman Hilton. The Beaufort Railroaders will host their annual train exhibit at the library. It should be fun for the entire family.
Remember I am at the Lowcountry Produce Sea Pines Farmers Market on Tuesdays through the end of December, 2014. Please stop in between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Book sales were good for our first book. We are working on a second publication that will come out this year. Stay tuned for updates.
I am working on promoting my voice over work this month and hope to have work soon. I have had this web site, but no one actually knows that I am here. This is entirely my fault and I plan on changing this right now.
I am publishing a new book, My Life with Charles Fraser, which will be out this spring. It is a compilation of interviews with people who worked with, and were close to the man who designed and created Hilton Head Island as it is today. My friend, Charlie Ryan, is interviewing all the participants in the book. It has been an amazing journey. My husband, Peter, and I have had this dream for many years and it is finally coming to fruition. I will have more on this in a few days.
I am very excited about this book because it has been a dream of mine for 14 years. Sometimes it takes a while to make a dream come true. The book is much more than I imagined. It is a wonderful history of Hilton Head Island, Kiawah Island, Amelia Island, Palmas del Mar and many more. Charles Fraser touched the lives of many individuals and you can read about them in this book. We interviewed 42 people who worked and knew him well.

Charlie Ryan did the interviews and I formatted the book. I am proud of all the people who helped make this a reality. My son, Douglas, had an idea for the cover design and my great friend, artist, Linda Warner Constantino drew the design. My good friend and colleague, historian, Dr. Larry Rowland, wrote some lovely words about the book.
Stay tuned for further updates in this process that demands a lot of patience.
The publishing business can sometimes be grueling and I can attest to that. We are nearing the release date and are preparing for a book launch on Hilton Head Island. We will keep you informed and let you know when and where the party will be.
My kittens, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are excited about the book release, too. They are trying to figure out what their roles will be. Stay tuned. It won't be long.
